George Little Management

GLM®, a dmg world media business was started in 1924 by George F. Little. The company remained family-run until October 2007, when GLM was acquired by dmg world media, a global exhibition and publishing company.

Mike Cooke, CEO of dmg world media, is chairman and co-president of GLM, and George F. (Jeff) Little II, grandson of GLM founder George F. Little, is co-president. GLM’s executive staff includes Alan E. Steel, executive vice president, Jack Withiam, Jr., executive vice president, Philip D. Robinson, senior vice president and Richard Pasternak, senior vice president and treasurer.

Today, GLM is the largest producer and marketer of consumer product tradeshows in North America, serving industries as diverse as giftware, social stationery, home textiles, tabletop, gourmet housewares, contemporary furniture and wellness. GLM also has an extensive roster of managed business expositions and conferences, which serve the hospitality and meeting planning industries. GLM is involved in the production of more than 35 tradeshows in 16 cities across the United States and Canada. Together, these events showcase some 25,000 exhibitors in nearly 5 million net square feet of exhibit space, and attract approximately 420,000 attendees. GLM produces 8 shows in the Tradeshow Week 200.

Outside of the trade arena, the company's Soiffer Haskin private sale division organizes merchandise close-out sales for luxury goods manufacturers and retailers seeking to move excess inventory. Established in 1982 and acquired by GLM in 1998, Soiffer Haskin currently conducts 35 private sales annually, for clients including Hugo Boss, Asprey, Hickey Freeman, Ralph Lauren Home, Tourneu, Lalique, Valentino, Max Mara, Frette and Loro Piana, with a customer base totaling 90,000.

GLM's corporate headquarters are located in White Plains, NY, with satellite offices in Los Angeles and Toronto. The company employs some 130 people and offers comprehensive tradeshow and conference management and marketing, with a menu of services including: exhibit sales and marketing; attendance promotion and buyer services; media relations; seminar and special event production; customer service and registration; database development and management; operations; display; financial services and accounting; as well as internet development and marketing.

GLM offers unparalleled strategic planning and management expertise, providing both service and value through a combination of long-term planning, teamwork, innovation and customer service. GLM's commitment to these principles has won the company the trust of its customers, as well as an industry-wide reputation for excellence and professionalism.

To further enhance its global presence, GLM has formed relationships with sales agencies around the world. Universal Marketing handles all trade and government groups, as well as manufacturers from Italy, and International Trade Projects handles participation from South Africa. In addition, Goldman Design & Marketing represents independent UK-based surface design artists and Design Eyes represents independent UK-based design-focused gift and home accessory suppliers.
