Material ConneXion adds Cradle to Cradle Materials to its Libraries in
New York, Milan, Cologne and Bangkok

New York, NY January 2008 – Material ConneXion, the leading global platform for material innovations and solutions, announced today the addition of Cradle to Cradle(SM) Assessed and Certified materials to each of its four material libraries around the world.

As Material ConneXion strives to offer the best sustainable material solutions available today, Cradle to Cradle materials are an important addition to the over 4,000 materials already found in its libraries in Milan, Cologne, Bangkok and New York.

Fundamentally different from other approaches to sustainability, Cradle to Cradle is a design paradigm with a positive agenda; what Time calls “a unified philosophy that—in demonstrable and practical ways—is changing the design of the world.”

The addition of Cradle to Cradle materials to Material ConneXion’s libraries—both on-site and online—is a vital step forward in creating greater global access to Cradle to Cradle materials, information and design.

The newly added materials are an important part of a strategic collaboration between Material ConneXion and Cradle to Cradle design paradigm creators MBDC (McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry, LLC) and EPEA

Material ConneXion independently juries 40 materials into its library monthly. From now on, Cradle to Cradle Certified materials will be automatically accepted into the library.
