Trufaux

Introduction

This easy-to-navigate Soho store is the launch pad of the Trufaux brand, which offers a high design collection of women's apparel and accessories. Most are fabricated from synthetic and sustainable materials. Helfand Myerberg Guggenheimer architects wanted to develop an interior which matched the high-end image of the Trufaux brand.

Case Study

The store's design image embraces both the elegantly fun attitude of the clothing as well as store's very special location in Manhattan, which intersects Canal Street's gritty energy and Soho's stylish sophistication.

The materials selected include translucent honeycomb panels by Panelite (LUMAsiteŽ sheets laminated to aluminum honeycomb core), which transformed for the walls "Alchemy" by Cabin Art (recycled aluminum chips embedded in epoxy substrate) helped transform the cash exchange and wrap counter. The translucent panels were back-lit with "color-gelled" fluorescent bulbs. The powerful effect showcases the clothing, which is typically displayed against the panels.

Conclusion
