Special effect masterbatch additive that simulates the color and hue of rose gold. These particles have been previously used in coatings, but this is the first time it has been formulated for use in polymers. This additive consists of pigments and special effects particles that are flat, round, and symmetrical discs that can be formulated for most clear resins. The effect will change depending on the choice of resin. The masterbatch solution is added at approximately 5% LDR (let down ratio) during molding. It can be extruded, injected, or blown the same as any other masterbatch. This additive is custom manufactured to meet customer specifications. Many color variations can be designed due to the base effect being a ‘silver impression’. It is currently available in Coin Silver, Iced Blue, Titanium, and Gun Metal Grey. These colors can be enhanced by a matte finish. It can be customized to meet performance characteristics, such as UV stability and anti-microbial effects. Applications include colorants for packaging, electronics, and consumer goods.
