POLYMERS

A series of rigid interior architectural panels that have been designed to create an optical depth effect when backlit using a back mirrored surface and a series of holes cut in the rear of the panel. The panels mimic an ‘infinity mirror’, suggesting lighting sources reaching back into ‘infinity’, The panel comprises a top protective glossy surface of acrylic (PMMA), a central core layer, also of PMMA that is bonded with a clear adhesive, a transparent back PMMA layer that is mirrored on the back side and a substrate layer that is opaque. Custom designs are then cut into the back of the substrate and approx. 2 mm (0.08 in) into the back-mirrored PMMA layer to create the multi-reflective effect. As light is shone into the designs, it reflects against the various interfaces between the layers, giving a depth effect. Four patterns - Random, Grid, Gradient and Perspective – are all offered with customizable hole density, patterning type, overall dimensions and graphic shape (such as letters or pictures). The panel is available in a standard ½ in (12.8 mm) thickness but also in 3/8, 5/8 and 3/4 in (9.5, 15.875 and 19.05 mm) versions. The standard overall dimension is 4 x 8 ft (1200 x 2400 mm) panel and up to 5 x 10 ft (1524 x 3048 mm) offered for a specific minimum order. The panels may be cut with standard acrylic panel cutting tools. Applications include interior vertical and horizontal surfaces in commercial and residential spaces, especially POP and store design. Sensitile materials are designed and manufactured exclusively in Michigan, USA, and we have no manufacturing subsidiaries or partners. We are wholly committed to original design, and appreciate the support you show by using only genuine Sensitile products
