A decorative technique used to create three-dimensional designs for wood panels. A flexible rubber membrane is inserted between a hard wooden base and a veneer top layer. Different patterns are chiseled into the veneer facing, which appear as air inflates and deflate the rubber membrane. The panel can be equipped with an automated inflating device. Patterns and inflation pace can be completely customized. Letters can also be achieved to display a company’s name. Different wood types can be used ,and cork or plastic can be used as the facing to give a mixture of materials. The maximum size that can be achieved for the inflatable are is 1 m x 2 m (39” x 79”). Applications include high-end wall design for interiors and store design.
