Our Material ConneXion library in Ravensbourne is getting creative about interacting with their students. This month, they hosted Materials Madness, a design- and materials-focused competition where students were placed in groups and tasked with designing an object, from conceptual stage through to prototype, in 96 hours!
K 2016 wrapped up last week, leaving visitors reeling and exhibitors already planning for 2019. Everything about “The World’s No.1 Trade Fair for Rubber and Plastic” is enormous; the number of exhibitors (3,285), the size of the 17 exhibition halls (totaling 262,000 square meters), the tonnage of machinery, the size of the booths (many 2 stories tall) and an incalculable number of espressos.
