Company Summary: Producer of high-performance cooking implements and grills
The Challenge: Food sticks to pans and grilling surfaces during flare-ups. In these environments, Teflon coatings are not an option due to extremely high heat. The surfaces are metallic, such as cast iron or stainless steel, and require a low friction coating with exceptional heat resistance, but which will not degrade in surface coverage or performance after being exposed to the heating cycles a hot pan would experience.
The Solution: We looked across industries for the right solution and discovered a revolutionary metallic coating that can reduce the surface friction of the metal so that food does not stick, even during flame flare-ups. Used originally in the chemical industry, the coating can deal with temperatures of 800 F with good durability.
